Camp Goals
- Honor the commitment and sacrifices of our Confederate ancestors.
- Celebrate and honor our links with the past through our Confederate heritage.
- Promote brotherhood and friendship between camp members through our common links.
- Promote study and understanding of the War Between the States.
- Promote Confederate heritage preservation and be prepared to defend its desecration by those who are ignorant of the Constitutional history of this great country.
- Recruit more “Sons” who perpetuate these values and wish to preserve their Southern heritage.

Charge to the Sons of Confederate Veterans:

This silk flag measuring roughly 4 x 6 feet was presented by the “Ladies of Salem” in Fauquier County, Virginia to the Mountain Rangers, commanded by Turner Ashby. As early as 1853 the rangers patrolled the county to protect locals from rioting railroad workers and suspected abolitionists. After the Civil War began the unit was merged into the Seventh Virginia Cavalry. General Ashby used this as his headquarters flag until his death. In gold embroidery the motto on the flag reads: “our liberty, our rights, our honor.”
