The Turner Ashby Camp No. 1567, Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), is located in Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia. The Camp is part of the 4th Brigade, Virginia Division of the SCV. Our Camp and its members are dedicated to the preservation of Confederate history and heritage, and in ensuring that the honored legacy of our Confederate soldier ancestors are passed on to future generations.

The SCV is the direct successor of the United Confederate Veterans, and the oldest hereditary organization for male descendants of Confederate soldiers. Organized at Richmond, Virginia, in 1896, the SCV continues to serve as a historical, patriotic, and non-political organization dedicated to ensuring that a true history of the 1861-1865 period is preserved.

The Turner Ashby Camp actually predates the original establishment of the United Confederate Veterans. The camp was chartered at Winchester, Virginia, on October 16, 1891 as Turner Ashby Camp #22 of the United Confederate Veterans. For more information on our Camp and how to join us email: commander@turnerashbycavalry.com.
